Wonderful People

I spent the other evening in the company of two wonderful, brave and amazing couples. Neil and Rachael Salmon lost their 3 year old son Joseph in 2005. Alanna and Glynn lost their 2 day old daughter Maisie last year.

What they’ve all been through is unimaginable but somehow they’ve managed to turn heartbreak into hope. Neil and Rachael have set up the Joseph Salmon Trust which offers financial assistance for families who have lost a child. Alanna and Glynn have put their energies into the MOMS (Move Our Maternity Services back to Huddersfield) campaign which is fighting to bring specialist maternity care back to Huddersfield.

The charity curry night at Shama Balti in Huddersfield raised nearly £2000 for the Joseph Salmon Trust.
