Thank you to everyone who made last night’s Cameron Direct such a success, particularly the staff at Holmfirth High school who made us feel so welcome. David Cameron spent an hour answering questions on the economy, the future of post offices, welfare, tuition fees, private versus state education, Europe, funding for carers, local crime and the lack of bobbies on the beat, manufacturing and much more. The audience of local people totalled nearly 200 and were from all over the Colne Valley constituency, including the Holme and Colne valleys, Lindley, Crosland Moor and Netherton. It was also great to see so many students taking an interest in politics.
