Jason joined RSPB staff to see their moor maintenance project up at a gusty Twizzle Head, adjacent to Holme Moss transmitter.
The project in conjunction with Yorkshire Water and Natural England involves repairing and maintaining the peat moors for habitats and to prevent erosion. Managed sheep grazing and planting is looked after by the RSPB’s Janet Fairclough (pictured).
