The Bomber Command Memorial

Jason was honoured to meet Bomber Command veteran Harry Irons DFC at the RAF Benevolent Fund event in the House of Commons held to raise awareness of the new Bomber Command Memorial. 88 year old Harry served as a tail-gunner in the Lancaster Bombers.

The Bomber Command Memorial

During World War Two, 55,573 men gave their lives serving in Bomber Command and next month the RAF Benevolent Fund will assume guardianship of the Memorial in Green Park, which has been built to honour their memory.
