The Grandest Grand Départ

Jason was one of the millions of people who lined the route for the Grand Départ of the Tour de France in Yorkshire this weekend. Jason spent Sunday in Holmbridge with his family to cheer on Chris Froome and all the riders as they started the ascent up Holme Moss.

The Grandest Grand Depart

The whole weekend was a huge success and even the weather held out, helping us to showcase all that is brilliant about God’s Own County.

Jason would like to say a big thank you to Gary Verity and his team at Welcome to Yorkshire, the Tour Makers, the local police, Kirklees Council for their funding and excellent race day organisation including the clear up, and everyone who embraced the experience to make it a weekend we’ll never forget. Vive le Tour, Vive le Yorkshire!
