LOCAL ISSUES

Jason visited Distinct Disposables in Lockwood who are West Yorkshire’s leader in Cleaning and Janitorial supplies. They have just taken on an apprentice. Jason then headed over to Stanley Mill in Milnsbridge to hear about their renovation and investment plans. Jason ended the day with dozens of friends and supporters for a meal at the Canton Chef in his home village of Honley.

Today Jason visited the Pupil Referral Unit in Batley to meet staff and pupils. They discussed why democracy is important and what role MPs play in that process. He then visited Kirklees College’s Engineering Centre to see their new National Process Manufacturing Training Centre. Jason is Co Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Yorkshire and North Lincs and he had a meeting with Roger Marsh, who is the chair of Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership.

On Saturday Jason will be holding his advice surgery in Linthwaite, followed by an afternoon at Golcar Lily Day and a visit to his local Honley Cricket Club to see them in action against Armitage Bridge.
