Institute of Railway Research at Huddersfield University

Jason joined Chancellor Emeritus, Sir Patrick Stewart and Vice Chancellor, Bob Cryan CBE to see the investment that has been put into the Institute of Railway Research, which is based at Huddersfield University. The investment has come from a number of sources including the Government backed Regional Growth Fund.

The Institute of Railway Research (IRR) is a world leading centre in the field of railway engineering and risk. Their research has helped to improve the knowledge of the way in which railway vehicles interact with the track to increase safety and reliability levels, reduce cost and improve performance of the railway system.
