Examiner Community Awards

Jason was delighted to attend the Huddersfield Examiner Community Awards at the John Smith’s Stadium. As always Jason had a great evening with inspiring people. Jason would like to extend his congratulations to all the nominees and winners who were honoured at the awards.

Among the winners were community campaigner Karl Deitch, Leader of ‘LetsSaveHRI’ who won the ‘Examiner Outstanding Community Spirit Award’. The Award for ‘Services to Charity’ went to Janet Swallow and Jean Semple for their brilliant fundraising efforts for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The winner of the ‘Services to the Community Award’ went to the Cuckoo’s Nest in Marsden. There was also an Award for Gavin Shaw from Slaithwaite who won the ‘Emergency Services Award’. A big congratulations also go to ‘Dementia Friendly’ based in Lindley who picked up the ‘Community Event Award’. Congratulations to Holmfirth Harriers U20s who won the  ‘Sports Team of the Year Award’.
