Jason McCartney MP
Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
Labour-run Kirklees Council, Mr. Speaker, as you know, have reneged on a deal to house the National Rugby League Museum at the George Hotel.
They've also declared a climate emergency, but they have one of the worst
recycling rates in the country. They're building on green fields and now on green belt, they're demolishing
Holmfirth indoor market. We're blighted by litter and fly-tipping and now they're proposing to chop down mature trees in urban areas.
Does the Prime Minister agree with me that local people can have their say on Kirklees’ appalling record by voting Conservative this week?
Prime Minister
Mr. Speaker, my hon. Friend is absolutely right.
It's typical Labour saying one thing and doing the other, Mr Speaker.
It's only the Conservatives that are going to protect the green belt.
It's a Labour party that are going to concrete over it and that's why in Kirklees and elsewhere tomorrow, vote Conservative, Mr Speaker.
