Queen Elizabeth II was a reassuring constant in our lives.
Her Majesty gave our nation decades of unwavering dedicated service delivered with humility, wisdom, warmth and gentle humour which only adds to our deep sense of loss.
As an RAF Officer and as a Member of Parliament, I was proud to swear my allegiance to the Queen and I remember fondly the times I was honoured to meet Her Majesty.
On behalf of my constituents across the Colne and Holme Valleys and Lindley, I send our deepest condolences and our love to the Royal Family.
