Thank you to everyone who voted for our excellent local Conservative candidates in the Kirklees elections yesterday.
Huge congratulations to Cllr Donna Bellamy who gained the Holme Valley North ward (Honley, Meltham & Brockholes) from the Independents.
Congratulations too to our new Conservative Cllrs on the Holme Valley Parish Council – Andrew, Kath, Donald, Isaac, Donna, Jo and Damian.
Looking ahead to next year’s General Election I’m encouraged that we are competing well across our area. I will continue to work hard for you as your Local Champion.
- I was delighted to help secure the £5.6 million Levelling Up funding for Marsden Mills.
- I’m pleased that the new £15 million A&E unit at HRI will open in a few months.
- The Trans Pennine rail upgrade is underway.
- Greenhead College is building a new £30 million teaching block.
- Kirklees college has a new medical training ward for 400 Health and Social care students.
- Gigabit broadband is being rolled out for homes and businesses
- All Government funded.
- Not forgetting that Holmfirth is going to get millions spent on it this year – although I don’t agree entirely on how the Labour-run Council is going to spend that Government cash.
So lots to be positive about and the hard work continues.
Thank you for continuing to trust in me and my team.
Enjoy the Coronation Weekend!
