After Jason thanked our local community nursing teams in the Commons Chamber it’s great to see that the Leader of the House took the time to meet Sam, who’s one of our fab local community nurses, on a zoom call.
More than 10 million people across the UK have now received a coronavirus vaccine - thank you to our NHS, community pharmacies and the wonderful volunteers who have helped this fantastic national effort.
At PMQs today, Jason asked about police officers, emergency workers, carers, teachers, nursery staff and other essential workers getting the vaccine as soon as possible.
Jason asked the Health Secretary if Colne Valley constituents could get their jab locally and when the new vaccination centre at the John Smith’s stadium will open.
On a busy day for Parliament, Jason thanked our local teachers and support staff and asked the Education Secretary about military support for schools in rolling out mass testing.
Wishing a Merry and safe Christmas to all my constituents across the Colne & Holme valleys, Lindley, Golcar, Crosland Moor and Netherton and here’s to a much brighter New Year 💙
Jason said it was lovely to meet some of our wonderful local district nursing students online last week and also volunteer with the Friend to Friend community group, thank you to all our amazing key workers and community volunteers.
